Out and most a pure romantic drama laced with humor quotients. ‘Mundhinam Parthene’ proves to be refreshing at many parts while the narration slightly goes dizzied in second hour. We ought to appreciate newcomer Magizh Thirumeni, an associate of Gowtham Menon and of course, he carries his mentor’s traces on terms of narration and visual presentation.

Story:

The film is about a software techie Sanjay (newcomer Sanjay) with his rarified ideas of falling in love with a modern girl traditionally acquainted towards customs. The story opens with a flashback that opens from the backdrops of London as Sanjay glimpses back to his life in Chennai. First he falls in love with Priya (Pooja), who is squawked by many and yet likes her. But Sanjay goes apprehensive when it’s revealed that Priya is already engaged to a NRI. Later, he comes across a dance exponent Aarthi (Ekta), an independent girl with her own thoughts. When both tend to develop a feeling for each other, a sort of misunderstanding drifts them away. Off the late, he falls in love with first sight with Anu (Lizna), his colleague. When he develops a great affinity for her, it’s time to rethink about his true love.

Performance:

Newcomer Sanjay strikes off with his earnest efforts as he emotes with naturalistic gesture on many occasions. Debutants Ektha, Lizna and Pooja seems to be little amateur with their acting and they need to undergo a crash course in training. The supporting actors have contributed a lot to the humor quotients. The salsa dance sequences between these lads are one of the best highlighting attribute.

Story, screenplay and Direction:

The story isn’t rhetorically innovative, but the screenplay does makes us engrossed at many parts. Precisely, the shorter duration of 1hrs.55mins ensures complete entertainment and indeed diminishes the sluggish screenplay during second half.

Debutant Magizh Thirumeni has proved of his adeptness by presenting the film in a simple and neat manner. Perhaps, we can expect a lot from this newcomer a lot in mere future.

Technical aspects:

Cinematographer’s eye-catching visuals are stupendous and Anthony’s editing is crisp and sleek. Thamman’s musical score is ravishing as the entire songs grasp enchants us vividly. ‘Indre Indre’ and ‘Kanavena’ remains as fantabulous picks.

Final Take:

Valuating the film on whole: ‘Mundhinam Parthene’ savors to the tastes of multiplex audiences, But the other following centres may perceive this to be far away about their heads as it may not entertain them to a greater magnitude.

Verdict: Peachy in style.
